An estimate by WHO places over 12 million carriers of the Hepatitis virus in the Pakistan, and stagnant water leftover from the recents floods Cholera and Malaria are now spreading wildly as well. The calculated cost of treating all disease carriers in Pakistan is well in excess of PKR 250 billion, and in terms of mortality and cost, it is expected to dramatically increase over the next decade. Regardless of these alarming statistics, little effort has been put in place to control its spread.
The Infectious Disease Surveillance System will map collected data on Google maps in real time to track its spread from village to village.This will provide a visual representation of data to the stakeholders and help them track the origin of disease
The project will enable tracking of Malaria, Cholera, Hepatitis, and HIV cases in Pakistan with accurate statistics; bringing awareness and prevention to rural communities.Once implemented, this model will be replicated for other communicable disease
